Nominations
"Since 2001 Professor Thomas
Barfoed Randrup has co-ordinated and led
the establishment of a NOVA Network within UFUG, aiming to create
a cross-disciplinary network consisting of primarily Landscape Architects
and Foresters. Through his contribution to the development of the
landscape architecture and forestry educational programs he has
actively contributed to make a difference at both Master and PhD
level. This has been for the benefit of the NOVA University Network,
for the Nordic and International students, and ultimately the benefit
of future planning and management of urban green areas."
"We hereby want to suggest this years
NOVA price to landscape architect and research assistant Ulrika
Åkerlund for her work of implementing ideas
and concepts to a functioning Nordic Masters program: UFUG.
Ulrika Åkerlund is a bridge-builder between forestry and landscape
architecture, between SLU and KVL and the other Nordic countries,
in order to establish this Nordic programme at SLU." "The
practical work of implementing these ideas implies the ability to
work with integrating different interests within different subjects,
such as urban forestry, biology, ecology, geography, town planning
and architecture."
