Master´s
programme with new approach
On August 29, 2005 the first Master's programme in Urban Forestry
& Urban Greening, sponsored by NOVA UN, started. 14 students
from 8 different countries throughout the world were admitted.
The strength of the programme is the combination of landscape architecture
and forestry to look at the urban green resource as a whole; this
involves working closely with research and practice, using interdisciplinary
tools and methods in order to create a sustainable and more vital
green resource for the benefit of the society. This interdisciplinary
approach is new, from a Nordic as well as from an international
perspective.

Jubilee Seminar
in Tromsø - NOVA 10 years
In June 2-3, the annual NOVA seminar was held in Tromsø,
Norway. Nearly 60 participants attended the seminar, mainly head
representatives from the member universities/faculties and hand-picked
responsible persons from Nordic Council of Ministers. The seminar
could be regarded as one of the most successful in NOVA history.
