Programme Structure
The Programme in Plant Pathology is a two year Programme equivalent to 120 ECTS. As it is a Mobility Programme it means that you get the opportunity to spend some of your study time at another university than the one you are enrolled at.

NorPath starts by enrolling students at KU-LIFE and UMB in 2008. HU-AF and SLU will enroll students from 2009.

The programme starts with an introductory 2-week summer course in Plant Pathology. This course is common for all students enrolled in the programme at the collaborating universities, and will take place in one of the university countries in rotation. For 2008 it will be held in Denmark. You will obtain an introduction to the programme and the academic field of plant pathology, and you will be presented with suggestions for thesis research projects, as teachers from all collaborating universities will participate.

When enrolling in the NorPath programme you will have the opportunity to structure your curriculum by choosing from courses and thesis opportunities at any of the partner universities to best fit your interests. In practice you will choose one of the participating universities as your home institution and you will include studies (a minimum of 30 ECTS, roughly corresponding to one semester) at one or more of the collaborating universities. You will be assigned to a tutor at your home university who will advise and support you in your individual choice of programme content.
Besides the introductory course, a common course in Molecular Plant Pathology is planned in 2008-2009, and it is envisaged to develop more common courses between the collaborating institutions in the future.

Language
As the language of the Master programme is English, all courses are taught in English, which means that you need to possess good language skills in English.
