This programme will allow you to participate in courses
at the collaborating universities, which have been selected specifically
with the aim of giving you a streamlined and 'state-of-the-art'
MSc education in Plant Pathology.
Perhaps you are not familiar with the Nordic countries?
The Nordic countries are known for high quality standards in education
and research - based on long academic traditions. Teaching methods
and learning methods are creative and innovative and require that
you are very active, take initiative and can work both independently
and in groups. Interdisciplinary studies and project-based activities
are some of the characteristics of studying in the Nordic countries.
Apart from attending lectures, students work together in groups
where you will be expected to contribute actively to discussions
as well as be capable of working independently.
The facilities are modern and include libraries, lecture,
class and study rooms, labs, canteens - as well as student facilities.
Computers are available at the libraries, and all students have
free access to these facilities and the internet. The libraries
are public, thus, all students can borrow materials for free. Information
technology is improving constantly and allows access to extensive
electronic databases, and virtual teaching is becoming an important
tool in teaching.
The Universities in the Nordic countries have close
relationships with the private sector. This entails the opportunity
to create MSc thesis project with industry, if relevant. Internationalisation
has high priority at the Nordic universities, and you will meet
students from all over the world wherever you go.
