Opportunities for NOVA Students

NOVA courses and programmes
- cooperation for competence and quality

Based on the belief that together we are stronger, NOVA offers joint Nordic specialized courses and programmes within the disciplines of forestry, veterinary and agricultural sciences. NOVA courses and programmes are planned, run, and taught by leading Nordic teachers and researchers that have come together in NOVA networks. Their cooperation ensures that teaching is based on latest scientific results using adequate teaching methods.

Study options for MSc and PhD students

NOVA provides you as a MSc or PhD student an opportunity to take specialized courses at another Nordic university and to meet fellow Nordic students in your field.  Courses are in general intensive courses of about one to two weeks. There are also in some areas full programmes or semester structures available.

For BSc students, NOVA will from 2010 onwards run summer courses.

Scholarships

NOVA finances courses and network projects, which allows students to participate in courses out of their home universities with subsidised living costs, but NOVA does not have any scholarships directed to individual students.

BSc and MSc students can apply for scholarships that cover travel and living costs from Nordplus.

NSB - NOVA Student Board

NOVA has a strong student influence, and students are represented in the board and the advisory committe (KUF). NOVA Student Board (NSB) assembles students from all member universities and meet three times a year.
