Course abstract The course will consist of a series of major modules covering: measures of disease frequency, screening tests, basic statistics, measures of association, confounding and interaction, linear regression and material will be presented as a mixture of lectures and "hands-on" laboratory sessions. Students will be expected to familiarize themselves with the major types of epidemiologic studies through some assigned pre-course readings. Students will get a chance to work on a group exercise that will incorporate all of the above elements into a study design.
