The sub-course "Wood engineering, products and their utilisation"
gives a wide perspective to modern wood engineering covering the
whole chain from wood raw material through processes to the most
important end products. Wood properties having a significant effect
on the processability of wood or quality of end products are taken
into consideration, as well. Students are initiated to the themes
by experienced teachers with high-level scientific backgrounds.
The opportunity to arrange a NOVA course, where invited lecturers
are experts in their own fields, gives the best possible starting
point for successful learning. Interactive teaching discussions
and group work also aims to support students own research
work by providing new ideas and contacts.
The objective of the sub-course "Wood products marketing"
is to help the student to understand and reflect over strategic
problems within the forest industries. Lectures will be complemented
by seminars, project work and discussions with representative from
the industry sector.
