Course abstract

A variety of experimental designs have been developed in clinical research. They provide a vast assortment of means to test hypothesis and handle sources of variation.
Publishing an empirical research without statistical analysis is practically impossible but to understand the reasoning behind desigs it is important to increase the level of emperical research. Designs must be flexible with the respect to the requirement of research object under study. Successful experimentation is not possible without clearly formulated reseach problems.
The main objective is to give the participants an understanding of basic principles in clinical research and make participants able to plan and conduct a research project and analyse the data critically. Another objective is to create an intellectual environment where PhD -students in sub disciplines in veterinary clinical field meet.
