Admission to the programme 2008/09 has been cancelled. Programme will not be given 2009/2010.
Parks and forests play a crucial role in urban life, affected by
socio-cultural, ecological, aesthetic and economic aspects. Urban
Forestry & Urban Greening looks at the urban green resource
as a whole and involves multiple disciplines. This one-year Masters
programme links research and practise and teaching will have a strong
interdisciplinary and participatory approach.
Nordic and International
perspectives
Aimed at Nordic and International students and practitioners, the
formal requirements are a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in forest
management, landscape architecture and similar relevant biological
and planning related educations such as biology, ecology, geography,
town planning and architecture.
Expertise
In order to gain a wide international perspective, expertise from
all the Nordic countries is involved. Formal assignments with universities
in Europe, North America and Asia are under development. All courses
are taught in English.
Location: Øresund
The programme is located in the Øresund Region at the Swedish
University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Alnarp, and at Copenhagen
University, Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE) in Denmark.
